PRIVATEPROOF PRIVACY
Your information stays yours.
This policy explains what limited information the PrivateProof website collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
Last updated: September 17, 2026
Our privacy commitment
PrivateProof does not sell, rent, or trade your name, email address, feedback, or beta application information. Website submissions are used only for PrivateProof communications, product improvement, beta coordination, and support.
Information collected through this website
If you join the waitlist, apply to beta test, submit feedback, or contact support, we may collect your name, email address, your selected area of interest, and the message or idea you submit.
How we use website information
- To respond to support requests and questions.
- To send launch, beta, or PrivateProof updates when you request them.
- To review and organize feedback submitted through the feedback board.
- To evaluate beta participation and communicate with beta testers.
Who can access it
Access to website submissions is limited to authorized PrivateProof personnel who need the information to operate the website, manage the waitlist or beta program, review feedback, or provide support. We do not make names or email addresses publicly visible on the feedback board.
Where it is stored
Website submissions are stored in the PrivateProof website database hosted through IONOS. The website database is separate from the private records created inside the PrivateProof app.
The PrivateProof app
PrivateProof is designed without user accounts and without a PrivateProof account profile. The app does not require users to upload their proof records to a PrivateProof server. App users control their records, exports, and sharing decisions. This website policy does not change the app’s private-first design.
Information we do not collect through the app
PrivateProof does not intentionally collect app-user names, email addresses, profiles, social activity, advertising identifiers, or proof records through a PrivateProof account system.
Retention and permanent deletion
Website information remains in the PrivateProof website database only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law. You may request deletion of your name, email address, feedback, beta application, or other website submission at any time. After a deletion request is completed, the information will be permanently deleted from the active website database, subject to limited backup or legal-retention constraints.
Cookies and tracking
PrivateProof does not use website forms to create user accounts or advertising profiles. The website may use ordinary browser storage for certain preview functions, and hosting providers may maintain standard technical logs needed to deliver and secure the website.
Children’s privacy
PrivateProof is intended for renters and adults managing housing documentation. The website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as PrivateProof develops. The latest version will be posted on this page with its updated date.

Privacy for the PrivateProof app
App privacy section added: October 4, 2026
PrivateProof does not require you to create a PrivateProof account. The app is designed to keep your rental records under your control and does not operate a PrivateProof server that receives or stores your proof records.
Records you create may include rental or lease details, rent or security-deposit amounts, names and contact details you enter, condition notes, maintenance records, photos, documents, and reports you create. Some of this information may identify you or other people. The app uses information you enter to create and manage your records.
PrivateProof does not use app activity for advertising, analytics, telemetry, or behavioral tracking. We do not sell or share your in-app rental records.
Device storage, Apple services, and sharing
Your records are stored in the app on your device. Depending on your iOS settings and the features available in the version you use, Apple services such as iCloud or device backup may store or sync app data under your Apple account and settings. Apple’s own terms and privacy practices apply to those services. PrivateProof does not operate Apple’s storage or backup services.
If you export or share a report, photo, or document using iOS sharing features, the destination you choose—such as an email, file-storage, or messaging service—handles the information under its own terms and privacy practices. PrivateProof does not receive a copy just because you choose to export or share it.
If the app offers a paid feature or unlock, Apple processes the payment. PrivateProof does not receive your full payment-card or bank-account details. The app may receive purchase-verification information needed to recognize the purchase.
Permissions and your choices
The app may ask for access to device features such as the camera or photo library when you use related features. You can manage app permissions in your device settings. If you allow notifications, the app may use local notifications for reminders where available.
You can manage or delete records using the controls available in the app. Deleting a record in PrivateProof does not delete copies you previously exported or shared, or copies held by Apple services or another destination under your settings.
Website information is separate
Information you submit through the PrivateProof website—including the waitlist, beta application, feedback board, or website contact forms—is handled as described in the website sections of this policy. Those submissions are separate from records you create in the app.
